Grace Chicken (1914)
Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Air Force, Retired
Port Charlotte resident Grace Chicken served as an Air-Evac nurse in the US Army Air Force during WWII and the Korean War. After the Korean War ended, Grace continued her service in the US Army Air Force for a total of twenty-six years before retiring to Florida. Grace turns 102 this year and she has fond memories of her experiences in the service which allowed her to travel the world.
